Nubbi (in production)

Nubbi is an animated project currently in production, centered around a playful knitted sloth character. The project is developed as a series of short, surprising and expressive animated stories, exploring character-driven humor and visual storytelling. Through Nubbi, Broccoli Brains experiments with character design, animation, and rigging techniques while developing a flexible pipeline for future animated shorts.

Nubbi Animation

This knitted sloth character was created for the Nubbi project. The design combines a soft, handcrafted look with stylized proportions, bringing the character to life while preserving the feel of a knitted toy.

Production Quality Rig

The sloth rig was designed to support expressive and playful animation. It features bendy bones, squash and stretch, and an animated facial system, allowing animators to create a wide range of poses and emotions while maintaining the soft, flexible feel of the character.
